The Local Authority Member’s Association (LAMA) Awards in association with IPB Insurance are now in their 7th year. The awards recognise excellence in the work of local authorities in Ireland, allowing councilors across the country the opportunity to nominate innovative projects, developments and individuals who have impacted the local community. These awards acknowledge the well planned and expertly executed projects that enhance our daily lives, and showcase the very best social and economic projects, communication strategies and campaigns, building developments, and environmental initiatives of the past year.
The 2013 winners across 23 categories were announced at the gala Awards ceremony, which took place on January 26th, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza, Santry. Hosted by Miriam O’Callaghan, the Awards were attended by hundreds of local authority and LAMA executive members, mayors, as well as Minister Phil Hogan.
Councils across the country took home accolades at the 2013 LAMA Awards. This year’s Council of the Year winner was South Dublin County Council.
