Firecall is the official publication of Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) Sports & Social Club. As Ireland’s only official fire journal, it is used as an informative and educational training tool among DFB’s fire and safety personnel, with peer-reviewed, expert content from around the globe.

The Club News section serves as a notice-board for members of DFB, covering sporting activities and achievements, announcing the launch of new clubs, and publishing retirement notices and obituaries. All of the DFB’s major functions throughout the year are documented here, from family fun days and Christmas parties to recruit firefighter graduations and retirement functions. Every issue also features a number of articles dealing with major happenings in the Irish fire service and developments in international best practice.

Frequency: Quarterly.

Readership profile: Distributed to the 1,500 members of the Dublin Fire Brigade Sports & Social Club who are all either active or retired firefighters, EMTs and other rescue personnel.
